We are rapidly growing our core team and are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join us.

Applicants should be driven, passionate and self-motivated. You will be joining an interdisciplinary team of extraordinary developers and scientists building the next generation scientific data management and machine learning platform which is currently disrupting the multi-billion-dollar Biotechnology industry by enabling our clients to create better drugs faster.

Our headquarters are in Milton Park (South Oxfordshire) with additional offices in London.


    • Collaborate with product owner and programme manager, product squad and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
    • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
    • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
    • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
    • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
    • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
    • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
    • Troubleshooting and implementing enhancements to systems as needed.
    • Working with the team to build and support Aigenpulse’s core products.



  • Design and Language
    • Proficient in code development in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ideally HTML5, CSS3) as well as JavaScript MVC frameworks JavaScript, JavaScript libraries, AngularJS, D3, Bootstrap
    • Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
    • 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing user interfaces and web applications using client side technologies.
    • Commercial experience of developing responsive web applications using graphs, graphics and animations.
    • Experience with using Open Source Technologies for client and server side development.
    • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
    • Experience with high-traffic, real-time applications
    • Ability to convert complex data sets into easy to understand and valuable information
    • Experience working with large datasets, preferably in a distributed environment
  • Prototyping
    • Able to produce draft visual designs and test these with end users/ stakeholders
    • Developing and embedding processes that will address the proof of concept scenario
  • Communication
    • Effective verbal and written communicator
    •  Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
    • Ability to work well with all levels of internal staff, clients and third-party vendors
  • Test Driven / Behaviour Driven Development
    • Working knowledge of Behaviour Driven Design (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile
    • Able to work within an agile delivery environment within a multi-disciplinary team
    • Experience in automated testing of web user interfaces creatively and effectively
    • A desire to constantly expand your UX knowledge by keeping up with the latest UX news and trends
    • Desire to evangelise UX best practices both internally across Aigenpulse and externally with clients and the design community
  • User Research
    • User research experience is desirable, but not essential


    • Proven track record of designing and implementing computational environments
    • Strong scientific background
    • Exposure to enterprise hardware and DevOps
    • Working knowledge of Python
